They are not a water-clear lens. WHAT THE LAB MEASURED Our lens was tested by COLTS Laboratories - A2LA-accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 - under ANSI Z80.3 (report O-SPG111015). Measured transmittance: 0.00% UVB, 0.00% UVA, 0.01% at 400nm and 4.9% at 410nm, which is where the "filters up to 99% of high-energy blue light" figure comes from. Filtering tapers off across the rest of the blue band (37% transmittance at 420nm, 66.9% at 450nm), and overall visible-light transmission is 91.6% - which is why the tint stays subtle rather than amber.
