Great headset for a great price for dispatching/call-taking.

Not happy. I returned this. I got better quality phone call with Voistek A2H20J35 Wired Cell Phone Headset w/ Adjustable Headband Boom Noise Cancelling Microphone for Apple iPhone Samsung Galaxy LG HTC Mobile Phones Most Android Smartphones w/ 3.5mm Headphone Jack. Better quality @ one fifth the price. I tested the Plantronics HW261N Binaural Headset ($250) along side Voistek A2H20J35 Wired Cell Phone Headset (w/ Adjustable Headband Boom Noise Cancelling Microphone for Apple iPhone Samsung Galaxy Android Smartphones w/ 3.5mm Headphone Jack) and a Bose Quiet Comfort 25 ($350) by making calls to my wife and my answering machine in quiet and noisy environments, both indoors and outdoors. I am a hearing aid user and could not hear clearly through my old headset. I called Plantronics and asked for their recommendation and they recommended either this model or the single earpiece model HW251N. Either of these headsets will activate the telecoil in my hearing aids so that when I put the headset on my hearing aids activate the telecoil and I hear all sounds directly through my hearing aids. The sound is extremely loud and clear. I have to admit it is hard to get used to having the earpieces sitting close to the top of my ear (and it probably looks really strange) but they serve their purpose as I am a teleworker and nobody sees me wear them anyway...My Panasonic cordless deskphone has a 2.5mm headphone adapter so I did have to buy a Plantronics Quick-release cable to make the …

I've used this headset brand for over ten years now and it is consistent and has a reliable microphone and headphones. The noise canceling microphone works very well. In a more open room with a lot of people on the phone, the headset does not filter out other room noises. You would need to invest in more expensive, noise cancelling headphones to drown out other distracting voices.These headphones require you to buy a connecting cable to connect it to the phone, depending on the phone you have. Platronics A10 Direct Connect Cable works for most phones.

I love this headset. I work all day taking calls and this headset has never let me down. My customers say they can hear me loud and clear. My only wish for Plantronics is that they would have one that I could have volume control and a mute button on the cord itself. I do have a Amplifier M22 along with the headset, although, I have had the M22 replaced 2x now, I am not super happy with it. The first one I could hear my customers loud and clear but they could not hear me. The second one my customers could hear my great like we were sitting side by side they told me, however, all I could hear was a buzzing noise. I did call back to the Plantronics customer service. This is a great headset and has a quick disconnect feature which allows you to combine it with a variety of phones. I bought Plantronics 43038-01 (Quick Disconnect to 2.5 mm plug) to use with my home wireless handset (AT&T TL88102 DECT 6.0 Landline Telephone). It's light and comfortable to wear for extended times, and the cord combo is long enough to give you range of motion when the phone is stationary. As other have said, the sound is very clear. My husband has difficulty hearing and he loves this combo. If you are looking to connect a Plantronics headset to a particular phone, give them a call and they will tell you the right cable to buy, and most importantly its part number so you can find it on the Internet and purchase it.
