KEEN Utility Men's San Jose 6" Soft Toe Wedge Work Boots Grano de café/Blanco Estrella

I've seen a lot of mixed reviews for these so here's our Two Cents. Bought these for my BF, he manages a commercial property. While wearing these he's torched 100's and 100's of weeds, dug small trenches, spent 100's of hours line trimming and cutting down overgrowth. miles of property walks, up and down ladders. They are holding up just fine. He likes them so much he's ever worn them hiking on easy trails in WA State. He says 100% he's going to buy Keen work boots again.

Love the way these boots fit and feel!! Very comfortable! For a wedge soul they wear well and the tread is sturdier than the average wedge soul. My only complaint is the boot laces. Just a couple months in and they start to break making it hard to lace or unlace them.

I wanted to write this a year later to give an accurate review. These boots are light and comfortable. I wear them for about 16-18 hours a day and even with the factory insole, they are still comfortable. Not much break in, but in the heel on the stitching, it wanted to rub a spot on my ankle. Fixed that up quick with a couple of pieces of medical tape. I work in commercial truck sales so I am on my feet a lot and I am climbing on equipment daily. I just wore out the OE laces but I consider those a wear item. No separation of the soles. I will definitely buy another pair when the time comes.

I don’t normally write reviews, however, considering people buy boots to work in, I want to give my opinion so that others may benefit. I ordered six different boot in various styles. Four pair from Amazon and two more from Zappos. The free shipping to and from was a bonus so that I could try them on and pick which ones I wanted to go with. I decided to go with these Keen because they were the most comfortable out of the box. The first day I wore them to work I was able to notice that I had on new boots. Well, within a couple hours I didn’t really notice any discomfort and by the days end it felt like I had been wearing them for weeks. The leather is nice and soft, feels good on the ankles, and are able to to be laced tight. The wide toe box is really nice, especially if you have to kneel

The Coffee Bean color boot looks exactly like the product pictures.I normally purchase the Gingerbread/Off White boots but wanted to try the Coffee Bean color boots this time.The fit is slightly wider and longer than the gingerbread color boot and the shaft is about 1/2 inch taller.The removable insole is the same as the gingerbread color boot and has good cushioning with average to minimum arch support.The leather is more porous and seems to be slightly thicker.They are slightly stiffer and may need a bit more break-in time.The laces seem to be durable but I personally prefer darker brown laces so I swapped them out.The boots are comfortable, good looking and fit well.I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend these boots.

I have a pair of these boots which I bought from Amazon. They’re great. So I wanted a second pair in this color. Good thing I opened them up. They’ve been worn for some time! The leather is scraped. The leather is broken in as if the shoes have been worn for an extended time. The heels are worn off to an angle showing extensive wear. The heels are dirty with black marks (wear). The soles have rocks in them (wear). The tags are worn out and removed from the tongue. The laces are undone which someone would do to try them on, but add it to pile and it show’s extensive wear. Amazing how Amazon didn’t even offer me a replacement for them during my return. Now the boots are $50 more expensive. Amazon at one time was great. My favorite boot by far now is barely worth the money.. my last two pairs I have had over three years.. one is wearing thin and popping at the seams but I love them they fit great they aren’t work out totally and the soles are still in great shape but I ordered a new pair becauseninsaw a sale and they sent me a very tall toe area cheap hard plastic looking leathered boot that is hardly anything like my first boots. I had been waiting and waiting for them to put out the black San Jose 6” soft toe boot again but they never did. My dad bout a pair and had them modified a bit at a cobbler and they looked amazing! I was ready to buy a few pairs but after a year or so of looking and trying they never came out again. I bought these gingerbread ones again and am severely disappointed they are …

It’s Early on still but... great out of the box. Comfy and not stiff (leather). Would like a bit of pad at top though. Hoping they last given the price point vs red wings. Toe box is roomy like all Keen shoes I’ve owned. Putting on 2-3 miles a day of walking in industrial environment.Hold the phone,, 2months in and the cotton(?) laces are unraveled. What a drag for a pretty high price point. It’s not just the few bucks for me to put new ones in,, it’s that I have to take the time/effort. Look KEEN, this is an industrial/utility shoe you are marketing. Get it right! So easy to do.First pair of Keen shoes, out of 8 or so, that laces have been the first failure point for me.
