I ordered the 'compact' 5m tape measure but was shipped the 'wide blade' version instead. I find it to be very thick and cumbersome to hold. I've since read some reviews of the compact version on the M website and turns out the edges are prone to cracking. I like the red brand a lot for power tools but I think I'll be looking for a different tape measure.

So I bought several different brands of combination Tape measures to try out. This is definitely one of my favorites, although it is a bit pricey. The blade is nice and wide well coated and has a very good standout. The hook on the end works well it is not magnetic, however that’s not an issue for me. Having both sets of measurements is ideal seeing how I work in a facility where we manufacture doors and our customers order in standard however, our machines require metric measurements so rather than having to convert everything in my head it’s nice to just look at it at a glance. I’ve used this one daily along with two other brands for a few months now and have no complaints. The wire clip on the back is one of my favorite features as it holds very well to my belt has yet to bend or flex …

Sturdy, survives drops, tough spring, dual measurements, not much more to say

I really like the Milwaukee brand of tape measures and this is the latest of several that I own. This one having both metric and imperial markings on it is useful when visualizing in both measurements. The blade is stiff and sturdy and the locking mechanism works well.

Being from Canada 'eh... from time to time... I find using the 'ol metric measuring system which I grew up with - easier then messing with fractional division - sorry - just lazy that way. The tape measure is VERY well made & super easy to read to my 'ol 60+ eyes. Nice & easy to hold - print is perfect for that once glance measurement...
