A reliable wired controller that won't get stick drift, that you can use for your PC or Xbox. Having to download an app to make full use of its features is somewhat annoying, but worth it in the end. Gets a little quirky on Android devices, rendering certain games unplayable (but only on Android devices).It's not very noisy, which can be a turnoff for some people, but you tend to get used to these things and it ends up being a great controller for fighting games, if you ask me.

It works nicely you just need to get used to the shape. And it is amazing for its price the back buttons are good and its a solid controller. But the mic port seems to be a slightly bad size because if i plug my mic in it im told there is a slight echo and the noise suppression is bad. And i tried it with multiple microphones and the microphones are proven to be in good condition. Its bearable but it isn’t perfect.

After going through 3 controllers for my 10 year old in 2 years, I decided to try this for the upgraded hall effect and I think it's worth it. I just let him sit close enough so no one trips on the USBC cord and I don't worry about it. He's bad at remembering to charge accessories anyway, so corded saves batteries. I don't think my son throws the controller around, but he probably presses hard when it s a sweaty part of the game and the stock controller doesn't last long. It's been 6 months now and this 8bitdo is still going strong, no complaints. If you haven't heard of the brand before, they're legit and more niche than off brand, they're not cheap copycat stuff. I would consider other hardware from them when the time comes to replace other gaming keyboard and controllers.

I really dig this thing. I play primarily on PC and haven't purchased a console since the PS3. I've used an Xbox 360 controller with a wireless receiver for forever until I ran out of controllers. Faced with a choice between getting a third party unit and an Xbone unit, I was ready to pay the honestly ridiculous cost of an Xbox One controller because every third party one I've ever tried has sucked. Hall Effect (HE - IE: Magnetic) controllers are not a gimmick. 8bitDo is killing it in the value proposition with this controller. You get HE sticks and triggers, and a couple (2) of 'paddle' buttons underneath. Build quality is fantastic, and I've had zero issues with adjusting muscle memory or 'feeling' coming from either a PS4/5 DualShock or a Xbox Series X/S controller. The best part is the construction of the bumpers isn't some 2x1mm sliver of plastic for the button on the internals. These should last much longer than a standard Xbox controller, and at a fraction of the cost. Everything worked as intended right out of the box.

I bought this controller hoping it would be a controller I could keep using for the rest of my console's life without worrying about stick drift, and this was a fantastic controller that I was happy to use for as long as I used my xbox. I loved this controller, Like LOVE IT love it, which makes it all the more sad that it broke in less than a year, I bought this in July of 2024 and the right trigger stopped working in March of 2025. Very disappointing as I was taking good care of the controller and truly loved it. Controller feels solid in the hands. Sticks and triggers feel great. Stick clicks take slightly more force than I'm used to, but it feels premium and tactile. Back paddles are mostly useless because this version of the controller doesn't support macros in the Ultimate software.However, like the five official Xbox One and Series controllers I've had, this controller suffers from multiple inputs from a single button press. However, the Xbox controllers took 1-2 years to develop the issue whereas the 8Bitdo controller had it occur out of the box. On this specific controller, holding right d-pad or the A button will repeatedly multiple input that button unless you use significant force to hold the button down. So bought this basically because it's supposed to have the best Linux support based on what I've read. Had issues getting it to run on Mint at first. It seems there was a software issue with 1.02. had to run a update through your software on Windows to 1.04 and it worked perfectly on Linux. AfterI know it may not *officially* be supported, but it would be nice to get a Debian installer on the website or terminal commands.
